• Authentication Data: We use your mobile number for OTP (One-Time Password) verification to secure your account.
• Usage Data: Information about the mock tests you take, your scores, and app interactions to provide AI-driven insights.

2. Device Permissions (Camera & Gallery)

To provide specific features within the Vertex Exam app, we may request access to your device's camera and photo gallery (storage). We use these permissions strictly for the following purposes:

• Camera Access: Required only if you choose to take a photo directly within the app (e.g., capturing a profile picture or scanning a document for verification).
• Gallery/Storage Access: Required to allow you to select and upload existing photos or documents from your device's storage.

Note: We only access your camera and gallery when you explicitly trigger these actions. We do not access, collect, or store any other images or data from your device without your direct consent.

3. Communication & OTP Policy (WhatsApp & SMS)

To provide a seamless and secure login experience, Vertex Exam uses WhatsApp as the primary medium for sending OTPs and transaction alerts.

• WhatsApp OTP: By providing your mobile number, you explicitly consent to receive automated messages via WhatsApp for account verification and security purposes.
• SMS Policy: While WhatsApp is our primary channel, we may occasionally use SMS as a backup for critical alerts or verification if WhatsApp services are unavailable.
• Marketing: We do not send spam. You will only receive messages related to your account, subscriptions, or important exam updates.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

All financial transactions for premium features (e.g., ₹129 monthly subscription) are handled through the Google Play Billing System.

• Data Handling: We do not store your credit card or UPI details on our servers. All payment information is processed securely by Google.
• Refund Policy: As per our business policy, all purchases are final. Strictly No Refunds will be provided once a subscription is active or digital content (mock tests) has been accessed.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party tools (like Google Cloud Pub/Sub and AI processing units) to improve app performance and provide personalized mentoring. These services have access to your data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf.
